Immediate family sessions are designed for parents, their children, and yes, your pets too, because they’re family in every sense of the word. A Family Mini or Family Basic session would be best for an immediate family.

Extended family sessions are a beautiful way to bring everyone together in one place; grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and all the connections that make your family yours. These sessions are about celebrating generations, shared history, and the rare moments when everyone can slow down and be together. Pets are always welcome. Extended family sessions involve more people, multiple family groupings, and a wider variety of combinations, they naturally require more time and care to ensure every family and relationship is captured with intention.

Yes! You’re welcome to choose a location that’s meaningful to your family. If your preferred location is outside my typical service area, a travel fee may apply. I’m always happy to discuss location ideas and help you decide what will work best for your session.

Neutral or seasonal tones photograph beautifully and help keep the focus on connection. I recommend coordinating rather than matching, and choosing outfits that feel comfortable and true to your family. I’m always happy to help with outfit planning if you’d like guidance. Pinterest can be a great tool for narrowing down a color palette that fits the season and complements the style of your home, where your family photos will be displayed. I recommend avoiding matching plaids, neon colors, and large logos, as they can be distracting. Dressing intentionally helps create the timeless images you’re hoping for.

That’s completely okay, and totally expected. Family sessions are relaxed and child led, allowing space for movement, breaks, and real moments. Some of the best images come from letting kids be exactly who they are.

I keep a close eye on the forecast leading up to your session. Overcast skies are usually no problem, but rain may lead to rescheduling to ensure a comfortable experience and beautiful results. If you're only in town a short time, we will do our best!

Yes! Inspiration boards are always welcome. Sharing images, color palettes, or overall vibes helps me understand the look and feel you’re hoping for. Whether it’s relaxed and playful or more timeless and posed, inspiration boards help us plan a session that feels natural and reflects your family.
