Things to Know

When should senior photos be taken?

Most senior sessions take place between late summer and early fall of senior year, but spring sessions are also a great option. Booking early helps ensure the best light and availability, especially for sports sessions. Games and practices often fill weekday and Saturday evenings, making Sunday evenings the most popular time slots, which book QUICKLY.

Can I bring props or include hobbies?

Absolutely. Sports, music, vehicles, pets, art, or other hobbies are encourage! They help tell your story and make your session personal and allow us to be more creative!

What should I wear?

Wear outfits that feel like you, plus anything that represents your interests like sports uniforms, instruments, or meaningful pieces. I’m happy to help with outfit planning before your session.

Who handles permissions for sports fields or gyms?

Parents and seniors are responsible for securing permission to photograph on school property, athletic fields, or inside gyms. I’m happy to work within approved locations and schedules, but access and approval must be arranged in advance to ensure a smooth session day.

Will you help with posing?

Yes! I’ll guide you through posing and movement so nothing feels stiff or awkward. The goal is for your session to feel relaxed and confident, not forced.

What happens if the weather is unfavorable on the day of an outdoor shoot?

Weather is always something I keep an eye on, especially for outdoor sessions. While overcast skies are usually no problem, strong wind or rain can be tough on hair, clothing, and overall comfort. If the forecast looks like weather may negatively impact your session, I’ll reach out to discuss rescheduling. While wind and rain can feel romantic in couples photos, they don’t always flatter senior portraits. My goal is to ensure your session is enjoyable and results in images you’ll truly love.

Can I share an inspiration board for my senior session?

Absolutely. Inspiration boards are a great way to show me your style, interests, and the overall vibe you’re going for. Whether you’re drawn to bold, laid-back, sporty, or classic looks, sharing inspiration helps us create a session that feels confident, personal, and true to you.
